The Holy Cross Code
The Holy Cross student is a refined person who lives by faith. Devoted to his/her
soul's welfare, he/she reflects often on God. His/her daily actions are sanctified by
prayer, the practice of virtue and piety. Since sanctity is his/her goal, there is a deep
devotion to Our Lord and to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Holy Cross student is studious. He/she regards learning as a duty; intellectual
perfection as an honor. In the tradition of Father Moreau, he/she knows that school is the
training ground where useful citizens are molded.
The Holy Cross student is loyal to God and country. Devotion to his/her school and
his/her teachers is demonstrated by his/her cooperation, zeal, and spirit. He/she is a
friend of all because he/she is a member of the Body of Christ.
In a word, he/she is a person of faith and honesty, of strength of character through
self-mastery, of respect for the Christian family and lawful authority, of leadership in
the pursuit of the true, the good and the beautiful-that is the HOLY CROSS STUDENT. |
