Approximately four years ago his health declined so severely that it was necessary for him to leave Holy Cross and move to the infirmary of the Brothers of Holy Cross. Posted -1/4/08 Brother Rene Lenhard, CSC - 1922-2003: Brother Rene came to Holy Cross in 1964 and taught biology until his retirement. He was a favorite of so many students and alumni. So many alumni came to visit even until his last days in San Antonio. When it was learned that he was moving to Austin, large numbers of alumni stopped in to get in a few words with him. Visits by alumni uplifted him tremendously and gave him so much enthusiasm and determination. Posted by Brother Stanley Culotta -9/08/03
