Holy Cross Dual Credit Experience
Starting college while still in high school
The Holy Cross Dual Credit Experience, operated under a partnership with Our Lady of the Lake University, is designed to expose excellent students to college level classes while earning credit towards high school graduation and their university transcript. Since it's inception, Dual Credit Scholars have either continued at Our Lady of the Lake or other 4 year universities and have graduated ahead of a normal graduation plan.
Embarking on its seventh year, we continue to offer classes in the Our Lady of the Lake University freshmen catalog of courses. Students usually take 2 courses a semester and can begin in the summer between their sophomore and junior years of study. While we concentrate on high school graduation requirements in the Spanish and Social Studies departments first, students are encouraged to take other courses when their schedule allows.
Applications for the dual credit program are available in March and September. We encourage all students who feel up to the challenge to apply for membership in this unique and elite group of scholars.
